According to the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FHCSIA) website there are around 60,000 people receiving their Age Pension overseas. People who decide to take their Age Pension overseas don’t get all the ancillary payments such as the Pension Supplement or Rent Assistance. They also obviously don’t use health services, so there is a good argument that this policy saves the government money. However, before you pack your bags and book the plane flight there are few things you need to know.
