Can anyone help please

for the last five years i have lived in my old Millard caravan at the clermont caravan park in the central highlands qld.I had been a disabled pensioner since 1999 and now i have turned sixty five i am a aged pensioner.Over the years my savings have gone down to just about nothing because of all the years of being disabled and the very bad hospital system in Australia i have had 2 hip replacements one of which went wrong and i have been waiting since 2007 to have it fixed properly so i can walk without help.I was forced to take out private medical insurance which costs me sixty dollars a fortnight so you expense goes on seems never ending.Anyway enough that what i really want is to swap my ford falcon sedan for a small four cylinder van so i can afford to go on a trip around aussie and to save on costs for accommodation fuel etc.  My car has been well looked after since i have had it with regular services and i do have to log book,so please if you can help me go on my trip i would appreciate it.

I thought that begging was illegal.

You can obviously use a computer so why don't you look on sites like Gumtree to find a like minded friend who would share costs and go with you. A visit to your local member could reap a reward too and maybe get you into a flat or a home for retirement.

Sob stories are not the way forward for you because we all get spammed with crap everyday and we all bloody fed up hearing from no-hopers.

I dont know if you are talking to me or not but i am not a no-hoper mate i just thought i would outline my life a little i have a ad running on gum tree and ebay trading post etc so up yours jack if you cant help me be quiet

I'm talking to you stupid.....who else?

You are in the position that you are in because you allowed yourself to sink to that level.

Get off your backside and claw your way back up.

Briggo, I am ashamed that Davey was so darn rude to you--he has NO right to have answered you that way--I do hope that you can get some help and get the van you want and best of luck old mate

I have every right to say what I want....that's why we fought wars.

All the very best briggo. I hope you can swap your car for the van you want. Many people do this all the time just gettting to someone wants yours.

..

Life is not always easy and you have had your share of problems like many people with the main thing being hope that something will eventuate to help you as it is such a long wait for you to get the treatment you need so hope you are not in to much pain.

..

Take care and keep posting as we are all battling with something in our lives and try to help each other.

All the very best

Phyl.

With your attitude, Davey thats why we have wars.  It is about having a bit of empathy.

I have said it before and I will say it again          Davey, you can get a grunt from a pig any day of the week, seems very apt for you. OINK!  Dont bother abusing me I have been abused by experts and you are not one

Briggo, Davey is our self made man, he means well, but something went wrong in the manufacturing, We hope you find what you are looking for, it is tough enough being disabled without being abused for trying to help yourself. I wish you well.

Great to see you  Seth. Making you and Mrs. Seth pancakes for arvo. tea. You have our address hurry over.

I'm on my way, bringing all the family, grandchildren and grt garandchildren,

we are all hungry and love pancakes covered in maple syrip or honey,

What a dill. I forgot to press edit and update within the time

Sorry Briggo we are off topic here but any minute someone with a great van may come in to swap you for your u-beaut. sedan. We are  hoping for you matey.

Seth. I "envy you" so much having "grandkids visit" so "over the moon to share yours" come on over with the tribe.

Briggo,

A Falcon is a good tow unit which is doubtless why you bought it.  It would already have the fittings for towing, right?

Anywhere to put a sign up in neighbouring caravan parks and in shopping centres?  I would go for outright sale.

I take it you might retain the Millard as a base.  How?  If not, you could consider selling the matched pair of car plus Millard.  Even if the Millard is a bit down it is easily restored by a buyer and people pay a lot for caravans at present.

Ordinarily it is difficult to work swaps, but you might be in for a chance on a caravan and camping site if you could snag someone who wants to exchange an older Hiace set up as a camper (Hiace is good property) for a Falcon plus Millard.  You could get some money or other considerations as well, examples being solar panels, awning and things for free camping.

Advert for a Hiace camper in exchange for a Falcon plus Millard should get bites.

What do you think of that?  All the best for the future anyhow and may your travel be blessed with good cheer -which it will be if you sit outside your vehicle to be share a cuppa with those who are similarly on tour.

Thank you for your sugestions i will take them onboard and see what i come up with, thanks again.

cheers

Hi Briggo, I wish you all the best on your adventure, and hope it will be everything you wish it to be.

Wonder how Briggo went? Probably flitting around hopefully having a great time in his new van.
