Calls for NZ PM’s head after he puts tinned spaghetti on pizza

Our cousins across the ditch were up in arms last week after their Prime Minister Bill English committed the ultimate culinary crime – putting tinned spaghetti on a pizza!

English, who assumed office in December last year, has so far avoided controversy, until now.

The Kiwi PM posted on Facebook: “Cooked dinner for the family last night - like if you agree with tinned spaghetti on pizza!”

His post lit up the internet as pizza connoisseurs threatened to abandon him and his party after the unusual choice of toppings.

“I might vote Labour now Bill. This is like s----ing on Italy," one commenter wrote.

Another said: “Why on earth would you promote such garbage? Would you serve this stuff to your international guests?? or is this just for the masses?”

“Sorry Bill, any man who puts spaghetti on a pizza is not fit to run my country, you cannot count on my vote come election time,” said another.

Not only was the pizza experiment a failure among his followers, but English later admitted that the finished product did not live up to expectations.

“I drained off some of the liquid but not quite enough since pizza was a bit soggy in the middle. Goes well with pineapple,” English wrote later.

What is the worst topping you have ever seen or tasted on a pizza?

Haha - it was a popular pizza topping in the 80's and 90's in NZ

I remember doing the same :)

NOT for me but if he likes it so be it

Gawd, if that is all people have to complain about...what the NZ PM puts on his pizza  LOL.

He is the one eating it;  who cares!
