Boy from famous Aleppo bombing video reappears
A young Syrian boy whose stunned face covered in dust and blood became the symbol for suffering in Aleppo has appeared in a video with his father saying that they want to continue living in the troubled country.
Omran Daqneesh and his father were interviewed by a pro-Assad Government reporter. During the interview the father said his son was in good health although he had to change his name to prevent his son from being kidnapped by rebels.
A video of the wounded boy, sitting alone in the back of an ambulance staring blankly after an airstrike, brought the Aleppo crisis to a worldwide audience especially after the CNN reporter broke down in tears while presenting the news.
It was not clear whether the family had been coerced into taking part in the short video posted on Facebook, the first time the boy had been seen publicly since he was hurt.
Syria's civil war, which erupted in 2011 has killed an estimated 465,000 people.

I'll never forget those pictures of him sitting in the truck. It would have been better if they had a translation going on. He looks lovely, still has those sad eyes. I wish him well, poor little chap.
