Back home

I'm back home after having spent a lovely week with my son and his family. I was pampered - didn't even have to make my own toast for breakfast. The trip down only took 5 hours, but the holiday makers were all heading north for the return trip - that took nearly 8 hours, a lot of it just crawling along in a queue of traffic. Nothing like being back home though and sleeping in my own bed. My dogs eyes truly lit up when she saw that it was me at her run when I collected her from board - she hasn't left my side since I brought her home.

Good to hear you had a lovely time Bev. and even the drive home would have given you time with your son and your little girl sounds like all was good for her and she was so very hapy to see you.

It is nice to go out even for a day and also to get away for a bit of time, but home certainly is great to get back to. Have to admit we love our home and our things :).

Sounds like you have a daughter in law you would have chosen if it had been up to you and that is so lucky.

You have your new home to enjoy and settle into now - hope it was one of the great decisions of your life to move in closer. I have said how we miss the sea after the 9 years at Loch Sport but we even moreso love living close to all amenities and shopping :) :) here, and we love this house (nothing to shout from the tree tops for anyone else but it has everything we want. :)

Welcome back you were missed.

Phyl.

I'm now closer to the ocean - guess I'll have to teach my dog to swim! I really do love my new home - it's so much more convenient. All the shops are close by, not an expedition to plan. I've just about finished unpacking. So much junk I managed to accumulate that I've now gotten rid of. It was one of the better decisions I've made. Thanks for the welcome back.
