Thank Morrison for this debt.

Australia to pay $830million settlement  to French submarine builder after Morrison government scuttled the deal in favour of AUKUS security pact

The Australian government will pay France's Naval Group $830million in compensation after the former Morrison government cancelled the contract for the company's Attack-class submarines.

What a stuff up by Morrison.

Mr Albanese said the total cost of the cancellation will cost taxpayers $3.4billion but will 'rule a line under the contracts' with Naval Group.

'This is a fair and an equitable settlement which has been reached,' Mr Albanese said at a press conference in Sydney on Saturday.

Makes me laugh when I think back how Morrison was trying to frighten people not to vote for Labour because he said their were not good managers!

Look at the massive mess Liberals have left the country RnR It is frightening the debt they have given the country.

Thank goodness we have at last a Prime Minister who does the right thing. Morrison with all his 'religious beliefs' never had a conscience and continually lied about everything.

Anthony Albanese says free trade negotiations with Europe to resume within months, after NATO sideline meeting.

Mr Albanese said Ursula von der Leyen expressed a desire to restart negotiations during a meeting on the sidelines of the NATO summit, with discussion to resume potentially before October.

It comes after a breakdown in the relationship with the previous government due to inaction on climate change, and the decision to cancel a submarine deal with France

Australia will provide 34 additional armoured vehicles to Ukraine and prohibit Russian gold imports, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said in Kyiv. Speaking at a press conference in Ukraine's capital alongside President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Albanese said Australia would impose sanctions and travel bans on 16 more Russian ministers and oligarchs, bringing the total number of Russian individuals sanctioned by Australia to 843.

Our PM has had a very busy time OS ... perhaps time to come home to deal with a rapidly collapsing building industry, fresh food shortages, huge energy costs escalation, scary interest rates rises and more devastating floods in NSW, to name but a few current Aussie problems.
