Australian Open

Roger Federer had some anxious moments before seeing off in-form Russian Nikolay Davydenko to claim his 23rd consecutive Grand Slam semi-final spot at the Australian Open.

France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga gained a measure of revenge for his defeat in the 2008 Australian Open final by beating Novak Djokovic in their quarter-final.
The 10th seed, beaten by the Serbian in four sets in the 2008 decider, came from a set down to win a thrilling encounter 7-6 (10/8), 6-7 (5/7), 1-6, 6-3, 6-1.

He earned a semi-final berth on Friday against world number one Roger Federer.

Both are great sportsmen but I think Federer will be too good for Jo.

Really really thought Lleyton would come through fwed, but not to be,

He did his best I am sure. What do you think of our young gun?

All talk, but if he comes up with the goods he will be forgiven like

John McInroe (lets hope he never gets that bad though) :(

Did you think Venus's knickers were a bit revealing or where you

one of the millions of blokes watching for the wind lol.

I know some say women's fashion takes from the game while

others believe it makes it fun. Would never say fashion has hurt

the two William sisters.

The Semi final will be great.

It is fantastic to see the Cricket and Tennis ball in every match so clearly on our new tele.

I did not think it would be quite so good.

Have a great day.

Phyl.

Tennis has really "come of age" lately and is my favourite sport to watch (wish I could play). The TV coverage is great, the talent is the best I have ever seen and even the commentary with characters like Henri La Cont are great entertainment. I am starting to feel like a beach bum....... wish summer would never end.
