Australia rejects England's post-Test beer
England beat Australia in the first Ashes Test, winning by 169 runs. And while the defeat comes as a blow to the Australian team, its looks as though the bad blood has extended beyond the pitch.
England's captain Alastair Cook invited the Australian team to share a beer after the Test, but Australian captain Michael Clarke rebuffed the offer.
Cricket teams getting together for a beer after the series has been an ongoing practice, but on a superficial level, Australia's snub of England's offer could come across to many as sore-loser syndrome.
What do you think? Is Australia displaying unsportsperson-like behaviour or could our team have good reason to reject the offer? Should all teams wait to enjoy their beers after the series has ended?
What's happening to our laid back style, may the best man win attitude, not impressed Australia team, should have had that beer, IMO.
I played country cricket way back when during my stay in the UK and win or lose, we always had a drink with the other side..
