Asian food lovers

For any asian "foodies" out there, I heartily recommend a program running on the ABC. It is "Rick Stein"s Far Eastern Odyssey"...... a great mixture of travel and cooking. He does a creditable job of looking at each countries culture through their food as well as cooking a few typical dishes from the region he is in. The recipes so far have been relatively simple and done with readily available ingredients. Anyway, worth a look on tuesday evenings at 8.30.

Thanks for that kfc will certainly watch next Tuesday but er what

took you so long may I ask? I love the easy not cook too long

wok cooking but would also like to learn about wrapping litte bits

up ie rice paper with meat and vege. bits. I could put on a banquet

and you could all come on over and sit awhile

[size=3] Another good show for Asian cooking is Ching's Kitchen on Channel 7TWO . She cooks 4 dishes in 35 mins. It's on Channel 7TWO in Adelaide

Ching's Kitchen 5:25pm-6:00pm so you would need to check your state for the right times.

The meals are really quick and easy and look so tasty it makes your mouth water.

You can try here to see her recipes http://www.chinghehuang.com/

Phyl [size=3]Rice Paper Rolls are very easy to make. Here's a video you can watch on how to do it. http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-vietnamese-rice-paper-rolls-like-chef-266781/

I often in the summer before a barbecue just put dishes with different ingredients in and get everyone to make their own rolls.

You can put anything you like in them. I love mine with cooked prawns. Yum Yum. I also cook some marinated chicken pieces or pork pieces, lebanese cucumber, mint, carrott, bean sprouts, vermicelli etc. Chinese pickled Ginger is also nice in these rolls.

Just do a google search for Video with what ever rolls you want to make ie Spring Rolls, etc.

You can also make rice paper rolls that you can fry as well which has different ingredients which you have to cook first.

Thank you for those great places Sandy. I am really going to start cooking lots

of those things. I will buy rice paper tomorrow and lots of bits and pieces

and get busy. Very interesting places to keep going back to so have them

there any time I feel like making something different.

Hope things are going wel for you and your family.

Thanks

Phyl.
