Apple to launch self-repair toolkits for iPhone owners

Apple announced on Wednesday that from next year they will be making it easier for customers to access over 200 tools and parts to fix the most common issues with iPhone 12 and 13s.

The initial release will allow people to fix the display, battery and camera. Most importantly, customers will be offered the same pricing on parts and tools as independent repair shops.

Customers will also be given a refund on some parts that are replaced and returned to Apple.

If you recently moved away from the iPhone brand of phones, would this new change in strategy by the Apple team allowing easier access to repairs give you a reason to move back?

Suppose if you had  knowledge and experience to repair electronic devices it may be a handy option - at least you would get genuine Apple parts.

There is a catch somewhere.
