Australian scientists turn cuddly native bilbies into feral cat killing machines with a simple implant they hope will slash the murderous pest's numbers

In South Australia, 30 bilbies are sporting implants under their skin as part of a scientific trial. If the animals are eaten in the wild, their predators will also die from toxins present in the implants.

The cutest chipolatas! Sausage dog gives birth to TEN puppies leaving her owner gobsmacked when they just 'kept on coming''My house was in chaos': Sausage dog gives birth to TEN puppies leaving her owner

Two-year-old Cheesecake, the dachshund, shocked her owner Stacey Whiteley, 42, as she gave birth to almost double the average amount of puppies. Mother-of-two Stacey, who works as a planner in the water industry, expected eight puppies but they just 'kept on coming'. Stacey, from Lincoln, decided to name all of the puppies after cheeses. She said: 'Sausage dogs usually have a litter of six. I knew Cheesecake was going to have a couple more because of the scan she had, but I didn't think ten was possible.'

:) Very cute.

Thought this puppy had some very unusual markings RnR.

Feline free! Sigrid the cat rides up front as cyclist explores London streets

Cyclist Travis Nelson, 45, started taking his four-year-old Norwegian forest cat Sigrid on bike rides around London when he was made redundant last year. The San Francisco native, who lost his job as a software engineer, gets out with his cat around three times a week, and spends four hours a day putting the footage of the pair's excursions on Instagram, where he now has over 43,000 followers. He said: 'It sounds a little strange but it's as if you're spreading joy.'

Pakistan zookeepers discover bull elephant they've kept for 12 years is actually a FEMALE with unusually large genitalia during inspection by German vet Pakistan zookeepers discover bull elephant they've kept for 12 years is actually a FEMALE

The discovery was made after a team of vets were dispatched by the Four Paws global animal welfare group to examine four elephants at Karachi Zoo and Karachi Safari Park. Four Paws said they had received a request from a Pakistani court to inspect the four animals and assess their wellbeing. During examinations it was discovered that one elephant, named Sonu, which zookeepers believed for 12 years to be a male, was in fact female. An ultrasound was carried out on Sonu, who has been staying at the Safari Park in Karachi, during which a uterus and inactive ovaries were discovered. Pictured: Vets are seen conducting medical checks on some of the four elephants during their visit this week.

Oops!!

This looks like one unhappy Fox.
