Residents in a usually quiet street in Brisbane's southwest were alarmed when they found a kangaroo having a coughing fit on their front lawns.
With the world in the grips of a health crisis, hearing any coughing is going to raise some eyebrows.
So when the residents of Middle Park heard the raspy barking, they were surprised to see it was Gary the kangaroo, a long time visitor to the neighbourhood.
Not sure what to do, local Ruth Dalton decided to call the RSPCA to get Gary some help.
"I jokingly said to the vet or the lady from the RSPCA ambulance: 'maybe he's got coronavirus'," Ms Dalton said.
RSPCA officers arrived and at first had a bit of trouble sedating Gary, but eventually succeeded and took him in for treatment. Thankfully, Gary just had a slight chest infection and was released back into nearby bushland after receiving two doses of antibiotics.
But Gary seems to be self-isolating from the other kangaroos and preferred the suburban streets, returning to Middle Park for some sunbaking.

I hope they can breathe well!
Yes that is what I was thinking!
Cute!
While they were trying to manage the steps I wondered how they got back up?
Those little flippers were working hard.
The second video at the end the look at their faces was, why did you bring us here? LOL
Thanks Sophie.

After a ten-year battle, the Eastern Pygmy Possum has had a big legal win in the High Court of Australia.
"The developer had appealed, and appealed, and appealed, and appealed - and finally we have won in the High Court of Australia.
"There's no more avenues for appeal. We've won," said Pauline Wright, the solicitor representing Gosford Council.
The possum's habitat is located in an industrial zone in Somersby, where a developer had been fighting for a decade to build a waste resource recovery facility.
Lovely pics thanks Celia, especially the pygmy possums.

One of my favourite Australian native animals.
Have been lucky enough to visit the Charleville Bilby Experience in western Queensland. Very educational and enjoyable.
There's no difference between a pigeon and a dove in scientific nomenclature, but colloquial English tends to categorize them by size. Something called a dove is generally smaller than something called a pigeon, but that's not always the case. A common pigeon, for example, is called both a rock dove and a rock pigeon.

So many variations.
My mum has a pet collie called Laddie when she was young. She always talked about him. He used to like climbing the pepper tree.
Hi RnR Thank you for sharing your photos, must admit I have not come across a dog that climbs trees, he was one special guy in your mothers life.
The move has seen gorilla tourism in Africa suspended for present and the closure of sanctuaries for other apes - including orangutans, which are also endangered.
Good.
'Don't let anyone pat your dog': Vet's urgent warning as scientists research coronavirus link to animals
Dr Anne Fawcett, from the University of Sydney's School of Veterinary Science, said common sense should be used after two cats and two dogs tested positive for COVID-19.
