Aldi fans reveal their must-try products

Since their arrival in Australia in 2001, German supermarket chain Aldi has steadily built a reputation for low prices.

But their product lines can be a bit different to what Aussie shoppers are used to and it can take some time to identify the best items.

Luckily, there are Aldi loyalists out there who have done the hard work for you. They took to the supermarket's Facebook page to round up what they reckon are Aldi's top must-try products.

Market Fare broccoli/cauliflower bake ($5.95)

Many Aldi fans were quick to praise the Market Fare broccoli and cauliflower bakes. Usually found in the freezer section of the store, Aldi tragics say these beauties are super tasty and often overlooked.

Di-San pre-wash stain remover ($1.95)

For less than $2, Aldi's stain removing product has been getting rave reviews across the board. Although intended for use with clothing, many users have found the spray is also effective at cleaning surfaces.

"You need to try this Aldi stain remover for only $1.95," one user wrote.

"It says it's a clothing stain remover, but don't be fooled. My bathroom tiler recommended it to us because we had these stains on our tiles and it works so well at cleaning them."

Farmdale lactose-free milk ($1.99 per litre)

Users were also quick to praise Aldi's Farmdale lactose-free milk, with many saying it has a better taste than lactose-free options at the other major supermarkets.

It's not just Aldi fans either, consumer group Canstar Blue also found the Farmdale range, and in particular the lactose-free option, comes ahead of other brands.

Emporium Persian feta cheese ($3.99 for 180g tub)

Emporium's Persian-style feta is actually made by Yarra Valley Dairy in Victoria, a manufacturer that already has a reputation for quality. At just under $4 per tub, this feta will make the perfect addition to any picnic.

Are you an Aldi shopper? What other good stuff have they got there?

Unfortunately we do not have Aldi in our area.

Their chocolate is devine.

Aldi chocolate is exceptional. When the new company took over cadbury they changed the recipe. Now it just tastes awful so I only buy Aldi  and Darrel Lea.

Of course it tastes different, they reduced the sugar by 30%.  You can bet the dentists are just as angry as you are.
