Agree johnboy. Give him a fair go. I'm sure this happens to others but we don't always get to know about it. I have heard gaffs on the ABC by experienced presenters but they are just more experienced at covering it up.

Quite understanable under the circumstances. Who hasn't let loose with an expletive when they stuff up. The only real stuff up was that it went to air.

Didnt see it, but if you want to hear lots of stuff like that just watch the standup comedy shows later on some channels. It can make your toes curl with some  more than coulourfull language and stories. Dosent bother me but it can get a bit over the top at times. 

If you prefer tamer humour look up Irish comedian Hal Roach. Not a naughty word but is funny as only the Irish can be.

As the 'kiddies' say ...... meh !
