A Special treat for Toby.

I have just been and bought my wonderful little dog a special treat.
At this time of year all my support groups have recessed for the festive season,
my daughter has gone for a well earned holiday.
the TV is r ... s....
I have posted ridiculous comments on this site,
But my little dog has been here with his unconditional love, always here with a friendly lick of welcome and happy for a pat or a short walk., what would I do without him?
I am actually a happy person, and usually busy, and will be again in a few days. Don't feel sorry for me I just needed a little vent.

We all get a little down from time to time lolih but I bet by the time you read this you will have bounced back.

I am not sure if you are into meditation but I know it helps me. When Peter and I had our General store in Noojee (we were burnt out and lost the lot and very under insured quite a few years ago now) but our five kids and two Mums all got out o.k. we used to put a rug on the floor behind the shop and a big warm rug on top of us and go really deep into meditation but as soon as the bell rang on the front door of the shop either (and I might add we came out of it in turn) lol would jump up and go serve. I am talking mid week not the busy week ends in the snow season as we were the last shop to Mount Baw Baw. I still meditate and of course (yes Clay still do) lol hang by my feet every day.

Dear little Toby. You are so right our pets give so much to us.

Hugs lolih and enjoy your eve. and exciting 2010 will begin soon.

How lucky you are as we are to have our new teles. hey? to watch the New Year fire works (I do wonder if the money could be put to better use) but still we do watch and enjoy and will especially tomorrow eve.

All the best

Phyl.

 :gulp: Thanks Phyl for your thoughts, all I really needed was a bit of tea and sympathy.

I have overcome adversity in the past many times, but have always had my children to protect which makes the impossible possible.

Now it is just me it is a simple case of adapting, there are people in this world with real problems.

lolih--sorry to hear you are a bit down--yes and the TV is very bad this time of the year--there are always people worse off like you say--but at the time it doesn't make your worries any less. It is at least good you are able to communicate here.

I wish for you, in the New Year, lots of happiness, lots of good health. Wealth would be an added bonus, but not really necessary. Our companions, be they dogs, cats, birds or humans are what make our world complete for us. I know that my little girl is happy now, she got stuck into a couple of chicken necks this morning. They don't give any bones of any description when they are in board. She's back to being her happy, smiling little self. But, she is still watching me like a hawk!

So Bev are you liking your new place and are you happy there?

I am very happy - it's a very quiet area to live in and so close to town. I have some very nice neighbours - they put my garbage bins out and brought them in while I was away. I no longer have to watch how far I drive, because of the petrol prices. I think I've been here for almost about a month, my petrol bill has been halved, even allowing for my being away for a week. Oh yes, I could get very used to that. Good things come out of making hard decisions. Yep, I'm happy.

Good news Bev--very happy for you and good you have nice neighbours--I am also lucky that way and have never had any trouble wiith neighbours ever--never see them much but we are there for each other if needed
