44 uses for duct tape

hands holding a roll of duct tape

Okay, so we've all had our own ingenious use for duct tape at some stage or another, but did you know it could save your life?

I found this video about a survivalist who offers 44 uses for duct tape. Only, this guy isn't building a house. Some of his suggestions will not apply to us Aussies, mainly because we can't buy automatic rifles with 34-bullet magazines, but there are some pretty cool suggestions for how to use duct tape if you ever find yourself in a tricky situation.

What uses for duct tape can you suggest to our members? C'mon, I know you've got 'em!

When the sole of an ugg boot started coming adrift I used duct tape (I prefer to call it gaffer tape) to bind the boot together. I intended it to be a temporary fix, but it attracted so much attention,  comment and admiring glances that I've left it like that. It saved me money, too.

Two different types of tape. Duct tape is silver or grey and is primarily used in airconditioning ducts to seal the joins. It sticks like shit to a blanket. Difficult to tear and is usually cut to size. Gaffer tape usually black for securing cables etc to floor and meant for easy removal when finished with. Can be torn to size.

Legend1948 Yours is the most useful information gleaned from watching this video, how many of us are interested in guns?

Thanks Eddie apology I hit the wrong key.

Was this video sponsored by the National Rifle Association of America?

I believe this has nothing to do with the NRA. "Minuteman" is a para-military (pseudo-military) self-funded, private, militia-type organization, made up of mostly white, redneck, peckerwoods wanting to take the law into their own hands. Sometimes they seem like they mean well, but so did Adolf Hitler, and look what happened there.

Gaffer tape is handy when painting a straight edge along brickwork ... it is easier to get off than masking tape.

I could think of a few ways to use that duct tape....

But I would get slung off.... LOLOL

Yeah! Should be standard issue for us ladies on YLC

MICA ---   There's nothing worse than a Buttcrack., should be standard issue

                 for Tradies.

And my grandsons....lol

You need only two tools in life -  W.D. 40 and Duct tape.

If it doesn't move and should, use W.D. 40,

If it shouldn't move and does, use Duct tape.
